As a public relations student, the range of my skill sets has expanded from typical press release and Op-Ed writing, to now designing graphics and building my own personal branding suite for my Style & Design class. In this class, we have been challenged with specific objectives and designated to groups for our own pitch deck. This class has prepared me for outside work, like making my first Reel in the Oaks Agency or posting a graphic. I can now say that I am comfortable using the Adobe platforms to make my designs
In this course, I earned an Adobe Creative Skills Badge in Job Application Essentials. I took a multi-step course of videos and completed each assignment that leverages my skills for effective communication using Adobe Express, Acrobat, Lightroom, InDesign and Stock. I learned how to properly make my application stand out against others, design my resume and cover letter with my own personal touch and choose a proper headshot photograph. The last step of the course taught me how to create my LinkedIn header, hyperlinked with a template for creating it.
The Oaks Agency
This year, I was promoted to Account Manager for the Auburn-Opelika Running and Track Association in the Oaks Agency, where I attend races, gather content and create reels. I serve as the liaison between my company and my team of college students.
Graphics
These graphic examples were selected from my Style & Design class, as well as a graphic I made for the Oaks Agency AORTA account.
I designed a book cover based on a book my friend and I wrote in 8th grade. It was created in Adobe InDesign, then transferred to Adobe Express. I learned how to make it from Adobe Tutorials. Background generated with AI.
Second book cover created in Adobe Express. Background generated with AI.
Invitation created in Adobe Express for a “How to throw a dinner party” newspaper article.

In this Halloween Design Challenge, we were tasked with making a photoshoot of given Halloween decorations, and placing that image on an AI generated background. My personal assignment was to create a mockup of an X post.

This website header was made using a template and a video guide in an Adobe Help Tutorial.
In this in-class Infographic Design Challenge to the left, my group was tasked with creating a graphic using a pre-made template, advertising which ice cream flavors were the most popular in the U.S. We were told use as little words as possible.
My last Adobe Help Tutorial design is this simple “bN” logo made out of shapes. I learned that in order to create a logo, one must start without color so as not to get distracted by it. I tried to make mine look modern and avant-garde.
In our first in-class walkthrough of PhotoShop—(I clearly had trouble)—we learned how to place a stock photo of sunglasses over a stock photo of the sunset. We then erased the lenses and removed the sunset background photo, but kept the part for the lenses.
In this last in-class work, we learned how to use AI to generate a graphic for trick-or-treating. I learned that it still has a mind of its own—even if you’re as specific as possible. Yet I still learned the convenience of generating a graphic.
Group Project: Alumni Pitch Deck
For our Style & Design group project, we were tasked with developing a branding kit that would re-engage Auburn alumni from 2003–2013 and encourage them to return to campus for football season. We created a pitch deck from color palette choices to social media mockups.
Instagram Reel for Style & Design Class
For the Alumni Pitch Deck presentation, I used Adobe Premiere to create a reel. Because the Kick Six of 2013 remains one of the most iconic moments in Auburn history, I incorporated the play into the reel through a compilation of student reactions and broadcast clips. By pairing these perspectives with a song currently used in Jordan-Hare Stadium, the edit aims to spark nostalgia and invite alumni back to experience today’s game-day atmosphere. The reel closes with the caption, “Where were you November 30, 2013?”
Branding Presentation Project
In my Style & Design class, we were given prompts to build a brand, and mine was: “A makeup brand for millennials.”
Press Release
This press release was written for my first Oaks Agency account, Prevail Counseling and Wellness.
